Edith Colomba

Senior Sustainability Consultant

Edith is an Architect with 15 years' experience as a sustainability consultant. She has extensive retrofitting experience, having worked as the Retrofit Coordinator for the largest government funded Green Deal Community Scheme and delivering more than 1,200 retrofits for homeowners in London. She is also a qualified BREEAM and CEEQUAL Assessor.

Prior to joining Useful Studio in 2019 Edith worked for a number of architectural practices (BDP, HTA, ECD), consultancy and engineering firms to delivery energy retrofits. Edith has also worked for the UK Green Building Council, where she developed sustainability online and face-to-face learning and development courses for professionals. Her experience started in the academic sector in Italy, where she was a researcher on life cycle assessment and embodied carbon and a guest lecturer at the University of Architecture Venice.

Edith is a recurrent guest lecturer at UCL and is the founder of the sustainability networking group MaD (Make a Difference). She was nominated as one of the top 50 rising stars of Sustainability 2014 by Building Magazine.
