Nathan is an Environmental Engineer and Sustainability Consultant. He has an in-depth understanding of low-carbon building design and whole life carbon assessment, with particular expertise in retrofit.

He previously worked at the UK Green Building Council as part of the Advancing Net Zero team, where he led the development of the UKGBC study and publication Key Considerations for Commercial Retrofit.

He also worked at Atelier Ten where he undertook building performance modelling to design optimum solutions for occupant comfort and energy use, prioritising passive, fabric-first strategies.
